1897: Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee (RPI November 6th-8th Sage Labs)

On her empire the sun never sets! God save the Queen!

1897 recreates the London of the British Empire at its zenith. Join us more than a century later and experience first-hand the world of 1897: Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. This weekend-long, live-action, theatre-style game was written by writing group Villains by Necessity, and consists of a cast of historical characters, drawn from real people who were alive in the year 1897, and fictional characters from books written around or set in that time. Come argue politics with William Gladstone and Kaiser Wilhelm, have a convivial drink with Thomas Edison and Nicola Tesla, hobnob with Marie Curie and Sherlock Holmes, and more!

The game will run from around 7PM Friday night to about 4PM Sunday afternoon, with game breaks for lunch, dinner, and sleep. The game will cost $25 to sign up; this includes covering the massive printing and prop costs for a game this large, as well as a dinner Saturday night of game! That's right, you even get to avoid Sodexo food for a night! There will be a PayPal button below; if you don't want to or can't use PayPal, contact me directly and we'll see what we can do!

Come join us for a weekend of politics, partying, and perplexity at the turning of an era. Rule Britannia!
