Winter is Leaving (Intercon Q)

Welcome to the casting questionnaire for "Winter is Leaving",  a Crossover LARP mixing NERO Boffer Style and Theater/Parlour Style LARPing.     It is our second year experimenting with this and should be lots of fun.

A power politics event set in fantasy kingdom of Kaurath (home campaign of NERO Hartford) during the end of winter and the coming of spring at an Early Spring Revel - a time of peace and conversation while the winter snows still prevent any major conflicts.

The Grand Council of the High Kingdom of Kaurath is meeting to discuss issues that are important to the kingdoms and to speak with representatives from the other neighboring kingdoms. Events not normally settled by running around in the wilderness come to a more civilized setting to be resolved by the usual mix of persuasion and betrayal. As this happens, heroic adventurers (and some reluctant or supprising delegates) are working to address problems with traditional magic and swordplay.

We do not expect combat around council table but anything might happen. However it is likely that some adventures will take place in an adjacent space as some folks try and resolve problems in other ways

Politics and adventure go hand in hand.   High costume and makeup roles are both welcome and appreciated. Rules permit non-combat roles, boffer combat roles, spell packet combat roles, and alchemy roles. No prior knowledge of the NERO Rules system is required.

The ability to role-play strong personalities or characters with goals a big plus. We have high and low costume/makeup roles, but at least some costuming is vigorously encouraged.

NERO blankets or Goblin Points available to any player who wants them. CP exchanges with Accelerant games are available (ask them to contact us to work out details.)

This game content may include questions about enslavement, personhood, life after death, and miscegenation.  It is set in Tyrra, the base universe of NERO, and some elements of that setting date back to its founding decades. While all choices were made with sensitivity for the time, today one can still see some choices would have been made differently with modern sensitivities. We welcome the changes made over the last year to address such concerns.

Players under 18 must contact the GMs due to boffer content.

For more information about the setting, please see the The Quick background Welcome Document, the general Rules and background page at http://NeroHartford.com/ as well as The History of Kaurath for NERO players.
